Georgina grew up with her family living in Budapest where she attended international school. She then lived in Amsterdam and Paris, before returning to London in her mid teens.[3]
To date, Moffat is perhaps best known for her role of Abigail Stock in Channel 4's cult hit television series Skins.[4] She is also featured on the soundtrack.[5] In early 2009, she hosted the BBC show "The Almost Perfect Guide To Life".[6]
Georgina began modelling part time when she was 15 and continues to do so now, on occasion. In 2008, Georgina worked with / was the subject of a number of photographs shot by Magnum Photographer Eli Reed.[7]
Georgina uses an alias for the music she writes, sings and composes. She was approached in 2009 by machine management and Sony Columbia to be in a 3 piece girl band, but eventually it was dissolved. She has since, been working on her own material under different management.
Georgina was born into an already artistic and eccentric family. She is the great-great-granddaughter of RADA founder Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, (who was also the older sibling of Max Beerbohm.)[8] Her grandfather Ivan Moffat was an Oscar nominated screenwriter, hollywood socialite and producer who wrote (among others) the 1965 film, Giant, Shane, A Place in the Sun, as well as revising the The Great Escape (1963)[9] His mother and Georgina's great-grandmother Iris Tree was an eccentric bohemian poet, muse, and actress (known for playing herself in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita and for being artists Jacob Epstein,[10] Augustus John's and Amedeo Modigliani's muse.) [11] She was married to New York artist and Man Ray collaborator Curtis Moffat, who was Georgina's great grandfather.[12] The actor Oliver Reed was one of Georgina's uncles.[13] On a different branch of the family, she is the great granddaughter of William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden (who previously owned the W.H.Smith chain).[14]
